Hypertensive Heart Disease

Hypertensive heart disease refers to heart conditions which are caused due to high blood pressure. If the high blood pressure is of unknown origin then it is known as primary hypertension and if the reason behind this is known then it is secondary hypertension. The reasons can be tumor, damage or disease of the kidneys or their blood vessels. Hypertensive heart disease includes heart failure, thickening of the heart muscle, coronary artery disease, and other conditions.
